Gennevilliers, France – (October 4, 2019) – Battery manufacturer Exide Technologies (www.exidegroup.com), a global provider of stored energy solutions, has won for the third time “Battery of the Year” for its lead-acid Tudor battery in the Auto Component of the Year awards at MIMS Automechanika Moscow 2019. The prestigious award confirms Exide’s position at the leading edge of battery technology.

The Tudor brand, renowned in the battery business for over a century, was acquired by Exide in the 1990s. Earlier this year a survey by Autostat, the automotive research agency, found that Tudor and Exide were among the six best-known battery brands in Russia, with 24 percent naming Tudor and 23 percent naming Exide as the best known brands.
Tudor has an enviable track record at the Auto Component of the Year awards, winning previously in 2016 and 2017. The awards, established in 2011, are an independent professional event recognising the achievements of manufacturers and distributors of automotive components in the Russian market. Winners are chosen by an expert scientific council based on rigorous laboratory testing of the nominated products.
